Beans Minecraft

Join from a console

Xbox, PlayStation and Switch don't have an "Add Server" button, so consoles reach our server through BedrockConnect, a free community tool. It takes about five minutes the first time. After that, the server is saved in your list.

Address
play.beansminecraft.com
Port
19132
Edition
Bedrock, latest update

You join with your normal Microsoft (Xbox) account. In-game, your name shows with a dot in front, like .Steve. That's how the server tells Bedrock players apart.

Steps

  1. Change your console's DNS

This sends you to the BedrockConnect menu in the next step. The exact menus for your console are below: Xbox, PlayStation or Switch.

  2. Open a featured server

Start Minecraft, choose Play, open the Servers tab, and pick one of the featured servers, like The Hive or Mineville. Instead of that server, the BedrockConnect menu opens.

  3. Add our server

Choose Connect to a Server. Enter play.beansminecraft.com as the address and 19132 as the port, and turn on Add to server list. Then choose Submit.

  4. Play

You're in. Next time, open a featured server again and pick Beans Minecraft from your saved list.

Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S

Press the Xbox button, then go to Profile & system → Settings → General → Network settings → Advanced settings → DNS settings → Manual, and enter:

Primary DNS104.238.130.180
Secondary DNS8.8.8.8

PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4

PS5

Settings → Network → Settings → Set Up Internet Connection. Highlight your network, press Options, then choose Advanced Settings → DNS Settings → Manual, and enter:

Primary DNS45.55.68.52
Secondary DNS8.8.8.8

If the menu doesn't open with that, try 104.238.130.180 as the primary instead.

PS4

Settings → Network → Set Up Internet Connection, choose Wi-Fi or LAN, then Custom. IP address: Automatic. DHCP host name: Do Not Specify. DNS settings: Manual, and enter:

Primary DNS45.55.68.52
Secondary DNS8.8.8.8

MTU: Automatic. Proxy server: Do Not Use.

Nintendo Switch and Switch 2

System Settings → Internet → Internet Settings. Choose your network, then Change Settings → DNS Settings → Manual, and enter:

Primary DNS104.238.130.180
Secondary DNS8.8.8.8

Choose Save.

If it doesn't work

The featured server opens normally, not the BedrockConnect menu

The DNS change hasn't taken effect. Double-check the numbers, then restart the console. If it still opens normally, BedrockConnect's main server may be busy: try one of its backups as the primary DNS, 57.128.153.204 (UK) or 134.255.231.119 (Germany). Each backup keeps its own list, so add our server again.

"Unable to connect" after you pick our server

Make sure Minecraft is fully updated. Check the main guide to see if the server is online. It restarts on Saturdays around 5 AM Eastern.

Undoing it

Set DNS back to Automatic in the same menu. Featured servers then work normally again. Switch back to Manual whenever you want to play here.

BedrockConnect is a free community project, not run by us, Mojang or Microsoft. Using it means your console's web lookups go through its DNS while it's set, so set DNS back to Automatic if you'd rather not keep it on. Bedrock 26.60 changed how consoles connect, so if something stops working after a Minecraft update, give BedrockConnect a few days to catch up.

On a phone, tablet or PC

No workaround needed. In Minecraft, go to Play → Servers → Add Server, enter play.beansminecraft.com and port 19132, and save.
